Our rough sleepers school is held in the inner-city suburb of Woolloomooloo, and a large part of the proceeds of this event will go to actually programs that serve the homeless and marginalized in our city.
Your $55 gets you:
• A chance to develop a street level understanding of homelessness and inner city social issues including mental illness, sex industry, drug and alcohol abuse, problem gambling
• A walking tour of Woolloomooloo and surrounds including team challenges
• Discussions about community development approaches to marginalised communities
• Exposure to films and pictures and stories that contain confronting content (M rated)
• Sleeping in a locked corridor in the heart of the city’s main rough-sleeping hotspot
• Breakfast on the street, including interactions with locals
