Kenya

Africa was were it all started. The group that journeyed to Kenya in 2006 was so affected by what they saw and the lives they encountered that the vision for beyondme was birthed in their hearts and minds. Africa is an unforgettable environment that leaves a mark on all who visit her.

We've sent two teams to connect with orphanages in Kenya, in 2006 and in 2009. Our plan is to build long term partnerships with groups delivering real results in Kenya, among some of the most impoverished people on the planet. Our next Kenya trip is scheduled for 2011, where we hope to finalize some long term agreements with local organizations.

South Africa

We're also beginning a partnership with onelife to work with some of the most impoverished South Africans. The build-a-shack accommodation program enables local people to have clean, safe accommodation built for them, providing them with a hand up to re-establish a secure future for their family and community. Our teams will be fund-raising for onelife and building as many shacks as we can, as often as we can.

Africa is a continent capturing much of the world's attention, and beyondme is committed to being part of the solution to the challenges African's face in creating a new future.
